One Moment

Driving home from a doctors appointment, not far from that crazy looking guy (see "The Darndest Thing" post on this blog) I stopped to take a picture or two of a bunch of young bucking stock, all mares, that belong to a local stock contractor.

Flies had driven them into the corner when I first saw them.

You couldn't help but notice the paint mare.

She was easily bothered, the first one to leave.

She seemed to be a leader.

Something about me standing there taking pictures interested her and she stopped

and watched me for quite a while

before she turned and wandered after the others.

For one moment we had connected. I felt a little pinch when she left. I'm not sure why I was sorry to see her go.

Probably without thinking about it, you were secretly hoping she would come up and say hello. :)
And she was probably waiting for a carrot or sugar cube. ;)

She is definitely pretty!
Lots of nice horses there. Thanks for all the pictures! :)

Super pretty but all that white on her face makes her look extremely crazy!

That paint sure seemed to be saying something... She's got interesting markings.

How cool! My hubby would be trying to figure out how to get on one. ;)

She's got some very interesting markings. What a beauty! Definitely not your pocket pony, is she?
