The Darndest Thing

I thought Kit, especially, might enjoy this.

I delivered a horse to Edmonton today. That was lots of driving in one day, there and back. I was hurrying home, almost there, and drove by the darndest thing in a rancher's pasture (a rancher and feedlot operator that we know). I actually turned around, horse trailer and all, to go back and get these pictures for my blog.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but his ears looked just like Jarjar Binks from the Star Wars Movies.

Did I ever mention we don't live too far from the Calgary Stampede Ranch, where they raise and keep their bucking stock. I'm kind of thinking this guy was a young escapee from there but maybe it belongs to the rancher. He does have unusual taste in cattle. He bought our longhorns from us when we moved from the ranch. Who knows.

He's quite the looker anyway. Almost makes those Charolais look pretty.
