Back to Tack

This is how the breast collar I love fits up through the gullet of my saddle.

Note my horn is mule hide wrap instead of rubber like when I used to team rope. It allows the rope to slip, more like a clutch, so the jerk isn't so hard on the cattle when they hit the end. We're always concerned about the cattle and go for low stress whenever we can.

My breastcollar. The long straps at the top are what goes through the gullet. It adjusts really easily for different size horses which is good for me. So there you go, that's my tack.

That is a different style than I am used to .Is it better for roping?

Looks like the military style. I like that type, it rides the line of the shoulders and doesn't choke the horse.
Who made your saddle?
