I am soooo tired, dirty, hungry, and thirsty. On a horse at 9 AM, back at 7 PM or shortly after, nothing to eat all day but I did take a little water on my horse. Those long days are a killer.
Moved cows, close to 500 head, to a different field, hunted for a calf in poky, nasty buffalo berry bushes but couldn't find him, and had to send one of my favorite Simmental bulls home with a broken 'male appendage.' I tried to be real respectful because I knew he doesn't have many days of life left. I felt bad. He moved to the corrals so sweet.
I had all that to do and also had to take care of a bucked off, less than helpful cowboy all day and do chores when I got home and fix his dinner and . . . . And no pictures all day because I didn't take my camera with me.
But tomorrow I party. I am going to a Livestock School for Women. Two of things I love most (beside my dog and my horse and of course, my cowboy) cows and learning about cows. It's a couple of days so I'll have to catch up and fill you all in when I get back.

I hope your bucked off cowboy is ok; don't they say a woman's work is never done? Hope you have a refreshing time at your cow course. And don't forget to eat!
I hate days like this, when nothing goes right!
You are one tough cookie! That is one long day in the saddle. Its been a long time since we had a big cattle herd ,I miss it ,and I don't.Too bad about Bully , it happens ,but its rotten especially when it is a particular favorite. Enjoy your course sounds intersting .Looking forward to reading about it .
At least you get a reward for all your hard work :)
Oohh, I can't wait to hear about what you learn! That sounded like a looonnnngggg day! Stick a granola bar in your pocket or something girl! Gotta feed that machine!
Sorry I missed this. Hope you enjoyed your class. Sounds like it should have been very interesting!
I would love to send you some heat, or take some of that cold away!
But your cowboy would probably prefer the cookies. ;)
